Suarez in trouble again over controversial advert

Liverpool striker  Luiz Suarez has landed himself in trouble again, but this time for being the face of a controversal advertisement for Paddy Power. The controversial stiker is already serving an eight game ban for racist comments at Man United Left-Back Patrice Evra.

The advert, which ran in October in the Sun has been banned by the Advertising Standards Agency (ASA). The advert shows Suarez celebrating in a shirt of Uruguay, with Paddy Power promoting their money back specials, claiming to return all bets if the Liverpool Striker scored in the Reds match with Manchester United. However under the ASA rules gambling adverts should not feature individuals under the age of 25 gambling or playing a significant role in the image.

With Suarez aged 24 he has been considered to be playing a major part in the advert, despite the protests from News international & Paddy Power. The companies claimed that as a professional footballer Suarez is  not playing an significant role in the advert as a gambler. But the ASA have now ruled against the image, deeming the advert as 'social irresponsible' the advert will not be shown in it's current form.

On the pitch Liverpool struggled last night losing convincingly to Manchester City 3-0. Goals from Sergio Aguero, Yaya Toure & James Milner sealed the win in a miserable night for Kenny Dalglish's side.
